Video example Invoice Email Address and Notification Fields
The email "To" field and "CC" field are now visible on the Invoice information on the left-hand side of the screen when an invoice is selected.
Where to find this: Accounts > Receivables menu > Invoices tab > Click on any newly-created invoice
To field: The email address(es) auto-populate here from the Billing email address(es) entered on the customer profile, otherwise it will be blank. Additional addresses can be added manually, separated by commas.
CC field: Additional email address(es) can be manually entered here on individual invoices.
Notes:
- Invoice must be in "Invoiceable" status when manually adding more email addresses. Click Save.
- If the To and CC fields are empty and the invoice is emailed as part of a bulk action, a copy of the invoice will be emailed to the agency internal email address that is normally cc'd when invoices are emailed to customers.
- Once the To field is auto-populated at the time of invoice creation, any changes to the customer billing email address will not auto-update the existing invoice To field; this is a change to existing functionality in versions 3.93 and earlier.
- For any existing Invoices (created pre v3.94 deployment), the ‘To’ and ‘CC’ fields will be blank. However, when a single email is sent this automatically saves the ‘To’ and ‘CC’ fields so if an existing Invoice is emailed these fields will then be populated.
Customer Billing Email Address(es)
Where to find this: Manage menu > Manage Customers > select any customer to Edit.
Billing Information section > Enter one or more email addresses in the Email Address field, separated by commas. The "Type" selected must be Billing.
Notifications Tab on Invoices page
The Notifications Tab is visible and displays information about the emailed invoice such as recipient addresses and the status of the emailed invoice.
The ‘To' & ‘CC’ fields will support multiple (comma separated) email addresses, coming from the Billing Information on the Customer profile, or manually entered addresses in these fields. Any Company-level configured cc’s/bcc’s will also be appended when the email is sent (these will be seen on the notification itself when sent but not on the Invoice View when emailing). Bcc for Invoice
Note: The Admin → Customers - Cc Email Address for Notifications are NOT included on Invoice Emails (only Job Notifications).
