Service Type Specific Reference Fields for On-Demand Jobs

Trigger Qualification based on Service Type Selection

Reference fields can be configured at either the Company or Customer level. These fields allow you to collect additional information during job creation, on-demand jobs, or by interpreters at the time of job closure.

Reference fields can be:

  • Marked as required or left optional
  • Configured to display for specific service types
  • Collected during manual job creation
  • Displayed on on-demand intake forms
  • Collected when an interpreter closes a job

Reference Fields for On-Demand Calls

Reference fields can be displayed before On-Demand Video and On-Demand Voice calls. When references are configured for these service types, they appear on the Requestor Intake Form.

This functionality is available in both the Interpreter Intelligence customer portal and the mobile app.

Note: By default, only reference fields created before February 2023 automatically appear on the On-Demand Intake Form. Any reference fields created after that date must be manually selected if you want them to appear.

Configure Reference Fields

Reference fields can be configured at either the Company or Customer level.

To configure company-level reference fields:

  1. Go to Admin > Company > Configuration.
  2. Locate the Reference section.

To configure customer-level reference fields:

  1. Go to Admin > Customer.
  2. Open the applicable customer profile.
  3. Locate the Reference section.

For either company-level or customer-level reference fields, edit an existing reference field by selecting the pencil icon to the right of the existing reference.

Mark a Reference Field as Required

A reference field can be either required or optional.

If the reference is marked as Required, a red asterisk appears next to the field on the form.

If the reference is not required, users see a trash can icon that allows them to remove the reference field from the Job Details page.

Select Services That Trigger the Reference Field

Reference fields can be configured to display only for specific service types.

Set up the Reference field to display only when a specific service is selected: 

  1. Select the edit icon for the reference field.
  2. Open the Services tab on the popup window.
  3. By default, Enable all Services is selected.
  4. To display the reference only for specific services, uncheck the Enable all Services checkbox.
  5. Select the desired service or services.
    • To select multiple services, hold Ctrl and select each service (or Cmd on a Mac)
  6. Return to the Details tab.
  7. Select Save.

The reference field will now display only when the selected service type is selected at the time of Job creation.
